The MUSEA team continues exploring marginalised voices in museums on Monday 7 December (5-7pm, room tbc).
Regenerative development practitioner and social designer Joke Quintens will talk about:
« Connected Museums and the Power of Place »
This interactive sharing moment will look into on how museums can truly partner with the neighbourhoods they are part of, and how a museum’s surroundings strengthen its value. Joke Quintens will look at the potential of the neighbourhood and the city for the museum, and at the potential of the museum for the neighbourhood and the city. She draws on her experiences with museums such as Mu.ZEE in Ostend and Zeitz MOCAA in Cape Town, and with the many projects she has worked on at the intersection of culture, heritage and the voice of neighbourhoods.
